Centennial Bank has been made aware of a new email scam that is making the rounds. This one claims that customer’s homes are facing judicial foreclosure – and it looks like it was sent directly from Centennial Bank.
At first glance, the message appears legitimate. It uses familiar branding, official-sounding language, and even references foreclosure laws and court proceedings. But make no mistake: this is a scam designed to scare customers into acting quickly.
How the Scam Works:
The email typically claims:
- You have an outstanding balance on your mortgage property.
- A judicial foreclosure has been initiated or is imminent.
- Immediate action is required to resolve this issue.
The email may look like it comes from Centennial Bank, complete with logos, and even a sender name that appears to be from the bank. However, the email address and phone number are not legitimate.
What Customers Should Do If They Receive One:
- Do not click any links or download attachments.
- Do not reply to the message.
- DO contact the Bank if you are concerned about a suspicious email & to verify any needed action, using contact info listed on our website.
- If you feel you have been victimized by a fraud attempt contact our Customer Care Center immediately at (888) 372-9788.
