What You Can Do To Protect Your Own Personal Information

We also recommend that you take the following precautions to guard against the disclosure and unauthorized use of your account and personal information:

  • Safeguard ATM, credit and debit cards;
  • Memorize personal identification numbers (PINs) and refrain from writing PINs, Social Security numbers or credit card numbers where they may easily be found;
  • Immediately change preassigned PINs to a personally memorized PIN;
  • Do not use easily identifiable numbers such as birth dates, addresses, phone numbers or Social Security numbers when choosing your PIN;
  • Store cancelled checks, new checks and account statements in a safe place;
  • Tear up or shred unused preapproved credit offers; and
  • Report lost or stolen checks, credit and debit cards immediately.

You may contact the following agencies if you wish to reduce the amount of advertising you receive from companies outside of Home BancShares, Inc.:

  • To have your name removed from all preapproved credit solicitations lists, you may call the credit reporting industry Pre-screening Opt-Out number at 1-888-5OPTOUT (567-8688).
  • To have your phone number added to the National Do Not Call Registry, you may call 1-888-382-1222 or register on-line at www.fcc.gov/cgb/donotcall.  While this may stop most calls, you may still receive calls from businesses where you are a customer.

In order to determine if you have been a victim of identity theft, you may obtain a free annual credit report online at www.annualcreditreport.com.  Please contact a loan officer at your Home BancShares, Inc. affiliate bank for assistance in reviewing your personal credit report.
